The Catholic Foundation of West Michigan is a Diocese of Grand Rapids foundation that was incorporated in 1995 under the leadership of the ninth bishop of Grand Rapids, Most Reverend Robert Rose.

As Bishop Rose looked to the future of our church and diocese, he recognized the need to create a source of ongoing funding for parish and diocesan programs and ministries. He established The Catholic Foundation of West Michigan to help assure the long-term financial security of the diocese through income generated from foundation funds.
